Somewhere in every media and entertainment company’s archives, there is a piece of content that could find a new audience tomorrow. The only problem: more often than not, that content sits on the shelf. One major obstacle these media companies face in effectively monetizing their video archives is localizing their content. They need to find the right video in their archives, prepare it for different channels, create subtitles or dubbed audio for different languages, add accessibility features, and more. Each additional step makes it harder to get existing content in front of new audiences. But AI provides a solution if used effectively.
At IBC2026 in Amsterdam, Centific will demonstrate how AI can make that process faster, as a featured participant in an AWS Elemental demonstration in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) booth. The demonstration will show how media companies can use AI to find archived content, enhance and localize it, and release it to streaming channels that can reach new audiences and generate revenue. Centific is an AWS AI Competency partner, and our Flow platform handles the multimedia localization step in that workflow. I’m thrilled to be part of an experience that will show media and entertainment businesses a more effective way to monetize their content for global audiences.
Finding the right content
Media companies often need to find archived video before they can reuse it. Searching through a large library is challenging if you have to rely on filenames, tags, or other metadata. This AWS Elemental demo highlights how semantic search can help. Operators simply describe the content they need, and AI searches the archive for matching video. This makes it much easier to find footage for a new channel or other distribution opportunities.
After an operator selects a video, the demonstration walks through the steps to prepare it for viewers. These steps include improving video resolution, adding subtitles and dubbing, including sign language, detecting ad breaks, and preparing the video for streaming. This means media companies can get more value from the programming they already have. For example, a broadcaster might find sports footage in its archive, adapt it for a new audience, and use it on a new streaming channel.
Preparing video for different languages
Reaching viewers in other countries often means creating multiple versions of the same content. Subtitles need to be translated, and audio may need to be dubbed. The language needs to make sense to the audience and remain consistent with the company’s brand.
Centific provides multilingual subtitling and dubbing in the demonstration through our Flow platform, which runs inside the customer’s own AWS environment. Because localization is a step in the workflow rather than handled as a separate project, a media company can prepare a title for additional languages in the same session that builds the channel. AWS Elemental services support the underlying video processing, and AWS Elemental Inference can apply AI during encoding to support automatic subtitling and to adapt content for mobile and social platforms.
Speed alone does not determine whether localized content is ready for viewers. Automated translation can produce language that people understand while still missing context, terminology or cultural nuances. Centific adds multilingual expertise and human-in-the-loop evaluation to help companies check the quality of localized content before it reaches an audience. Linguist review, terminology governance, and consented voice talent sit behind the output, which is the difference between a demonstration and something a broadcaster would put on a channel carrying its own name. Bringing those capabilities into the video process can reduce the number of separate steps required to prepare content for different regions. A media company can take an existing asset and create versions for additional languages as part of preparing that video for distribution.
Turning archived video into streaming channels
At IBC2026, we’ll show how media brands can package content and deliver it to viewers globally. The demonstration shows how an operator can use a Channel Agent to create linear streaming feeds from archived video. We include FAST channels and sign-language channels, along with tools for detecting and packaging advertising breaks.
Turning archived video into streaming channels gives media companies several ways to reuse the same content. A media company could package archived programming into a FAST channel supported by advertising. It could create localized versions for viewers in different countries. It could also add sign language or subtitles to make the programming accessible to more people.
The Channel Agent helps coordinate those tasks through a conversational interface. An operator can tell the agent what they want to create and select the enhancements the content needs. The agent then coordinates the steps required to prepare and deliver the channel.

When it becomes easier to find, localize, and package archived video, media companies can reconsider content that may have been too expensive or time-consuming to reuse in the past. A program created for one audience could find another audience through a different language, region, or streaming channel. That is what I am looking forward to exploring with brands at IBC2026. We’ll give media companies a chance to see how reducing the cost and complexity of reusing archived content could make it practical to bring more of that content to new audiences and regions.
